Kim Hyun Joong New Drama ‘Mischievous Kiss’

Finally! Kim Hyun Joong of SS501 has gotten his new big role in Korean drama.

His task not gonna be easy this time since he’ll ultimately named as the lead male in this new TV series titled ‘Mischievous Kiss’, an adaptation of popular Japanese comic (which had been on anime and live action) Itazura na Kiss. The news was confirmed by his agency KEYEAST.

I love the Japanese version, but I guess I’ll be able to like the Korean version of Itazura na Kiss since Kim Hyun Joong’s gonna be on it! (I’m already having imaginations on him being Irie-kun)

Korean actress, Jeong So-min will be playing alongside Kim Hyun Joong in Mischievous Kiss, as a normal girl-next-door type but clumsy, a bit a little too honest but with cheerful personality. Kim Hyun Joong will be playing the role of Baek Sung-Jo. With his success in Boys Over Flower, I think he will be able to bring out the best of this role. The drama will be directed by Hwang In-Roi, who previously directed Princess Hours a.k.a Goong (Gosh I love that show!!) and Iljimae Returns – Moon River, will be teaming up with noted television writer Ko Eun-Nim for the small adaptation of the comic. The same company who produced 2009 hit series of Korean drama Boys Over Flower will be producing Mischievous Kiss.

Romantic comedy, Mischievous Kiss is in shooting now and subjected to premiere on MBC by September 1st.
